In Episode 72 I defined the role of a caregiver because most of the time we identify as "helping" mom or dad not actually being a caregiver….but the truth is … most of the time - we are caregivers…. whether you’re a son, daughter, friend or spouse… caregiving is hard and asking someone else to step in and take over the job can be even harder. There are several reasons you may find yourself moving out of a senior living community and I think you can probably imagine the reasons are most often not pleasant ones. You’re unhappy, or you can’t afford the monthly fee, care needs have exceeded the staffs ability to provide the care or your loved one has passed away. In these situations you may be asking yourself…what happens next? Do I get a refund? That deposit I paid in the beginning do I get that back? What if I don’t find a place by the time the money runs out?
